About this course

Create original artworks using eco-friendly processes. Embossed prints can be made from handcut paper and cardboard blocks, wire and found objects.

Course Description

During this one day course, you will learn how to create a range of embossed surfaces on heavy etching paper. All the materials are non toxic and have a low environmental impact.

Tracey has developed techniques for creating blocks for embossing using paper, card and wire. You will be guided through the safe use of the press and nipping press, preparing paper and how to dry the resulting prints.

Embossings can be made into artists’ books, this will be discussed with examples.

Tracey trained at the prestigious Camberwell College of Arts and Crafts where she obtained her MA (Fine Art) Printmaking; specialising in embossing.
