After an introductory talk and display of a number of examples you will get to explore and create sample textures and shapes.
You will be utilising both sheet and wire to realise your ideas using a number of jewellery making techniques including piercing, stamping, texturing and forming. Students may choose to make a personal brooch with imagery and shapes based around a theme, or perhaps you’ll use shapes you are drawn to. We will then discuss the various ways you can create the brooch fitting and you’ll choose the one you are most drawn towards. This will lead to working on your final piece in silver and completing your brooch, ready to wear it home!
