Based on the proven premise that if you can write an alphabet you can draw, this method of drawing will enable you to make sense of the visual world. Using a flexible and universal vocabulary of basic shapes you will quickly and intuitively be able to recognise the grammar of the visual world such as people, places, architecture and interiors.
During the course the tutor will respond to the abilities and ideas of the group. He will both teach and challenge you to develop your skills and confidence; and will support you through demonstration, discussion and one-to-one guidance.
By the end of the day you will have begun to develop your visual vocabulary; improved your knowledge of architecture, still life and the environment; gained an understanding of the basic theory behind perspective, scale and composition and improved your drawing skills.
Timetable for one day courses
