About this course

Explore the use of colour in your garden. Discover new colour combinations and how to extend the season as you work on a planting plan for your garden.

Course Description

Explore the use of colour in your garden under Henry and Max’s expert eyes and be inspired by their plantings. Discover new colour combinations and how to extend the season using late summer colour. You will have the chance to work on a planting plan for your garden.

They will bring ideas from the gardens they have worked in to inspire you as you spend the morning session looking at colour; using perennials, shrubs, annuals and even vegetables – exploring texture too, giving you lots of ideas to start formulating your own schemes.

After morning coffee the focus will be on the use of repetition and height in your displays along with foliage and supporting plants to help enhance your star performers. That will be followed by a walk around West Dean Gardens looking at plants to inspire your own design and scheme.

The afternoon will be dedicated to helping you create a scheme or plant association for you to implement in your own garden; you are invited to come armed with photographs.
