Learn to handle brushes, use colour and study form and
composition as you paint in watercolour.
We begin this one day course with a talk on the basic principles of observation and use of colour. You will draw and paint from still life and discover the exciting versatility of watercolour and explore form, creating washes and brush handling. During the afternoon you will complete your own watercolour painting.
We will also look at how different artists interpret still life through their use of colour, composition and technique.
You will follow some simple demonstrations, being guided on a one-to-one basis. The day concludes with a brief discussion to help give you the confidence to keep painting.

" Excellent teaching with lots of useful information and techniques shown, plus plenty of opportunity to try out the watercolour techniques and ideas. The pacing was appropriate, and the teacher was very approachable and knowledgeable. The day was action packed, I learnt lots and was very inspired to go home and paint!!!
