About this course

Make a pair of beautiful contemporary keum-boo (fusing gold foil onto silver) drop earrings, including shaping and texturing.

Course Description

Keum Boo is an ancient Korean technique, using diffused heat to fuse pure gold foil to silver creating a rich surface that can then be further enhanced by roller printing with watercolour paper. This project might also appeal to someone with some jewellery skills who would like to learn two fascinating surface decoration techniques that can be used individually or together, but even a complete beginner will be able to wear their earrings home at the end of the day.
