Summary

Discover the essence of timber's beauty through sculptural carving. You will take a walk in the West Dean woodland to seek out a tree branch which has a characteristic that appeals to you. Once back in the workshop you will set about enhancing and focussing on that element, through different carving and texture treatments, shaping and material removal, to reveal the story behind the tree .
