Line and Form

Full-time Visual Arts students and alumni from West Dean College present an exhibition of work for sale to raise funds for the Summer Show 2018 at West Dean and at Espacio Gallery in London. Line and Form provides an exciting opportunity to acquire drawings, paintings, prints and ceramics from emerging, early career, and established artists at affordable prices. In addition, visitors will be invited to tour the Visual Arts studios and see work in progress ahead of the Summer Shows.

The exhibition will showcase work from seven students currently studying on the Graduate and Masters programmes, as well as works from alumni and staff. Among those exhibiting are Maud Boothby, Lester Korzilius, Chérie Lubbock, and Askild Winklemann.

Maud Boothby studied textile design and the relationship between objects and the body is key element to her sculptural and printed practice.

Askild Winkelmann is a multi-media artist from Germany who creates artworks in which she distils her observations of the world into carefully chosen combinations of colours, subverting them with elements found in her environment.

Lester Korzilius, architect and artist, focuses on sculptural installations, prints and painting.

Chérie Lubbock combines recycled wood, cardboard, steel, cellophane and thread as the primary materials in her work, creating sculptures which have a bodily element.

Free entry to exhibition. Free Parking. Cash sales only (deposits taken). Sold works may be removed on purchase.
