Drawing Experiments in the Studio

The workshop series concluded with a presentation of works produced over the preceding weeks, each involving different applications and interpretations of extended drawing techniques. A group critique saw students and staff discuss the pieces in relation to the exercises undertaken throughout the unit and as standalone works in themselves.

Students engaged with site-responsive drawing; collaborative tasks; instructional texts; mapping and constraints; explorations as to how time, space and movement can be translated and recorded; technical drawing techniques, including orthographic and axonometric drawings; responding to existing spaces; 3D modelling software and installation.
