ALL WELCOME TO DROP IN

Drawing inspiration from Suffrage banners, participants at this drop-in workshop are invited to make their own banners that engage, provoke, empower, and express the ideas, concerns and hopes of women in the 21st century.

Various examples of Suffrage and contemporary banners will be available for reference and demonstrations of how to make individual banners will take place throughout the day. Volunteers will make a communal 'West Dean College' banner in Suffrage colours of violet, green, and white.

Attendees are welcome to bring their own materials, though materials and equipment will be available. The workshop is organised by Visual Arts tutor Sarah Hughes, in collaboration with Visual Arts Alumni, Jill Laudet and Sarah Cliff.

Participants are invited to join West Dean College at the mass-participation artwork PROCESSIONS on 10th June 2018.

More details available here.
