400 years since Shakespeare died but A Midsummer Night's Dream lives on, loved by a worldwide audience. The fairies, the fools, the frolics and the fun endear themselves to all ages.
The Chalk Garden by Enid Bagnold directed by John Hyatt
Presented by special arrangement with Samuel French Ltd.
Both her garden and her grand-daughter are withering under the care of an eccentric Sussex matron, so she hires a woman who seems to understand them. They seem to flourish until the girl's mother comes to uproot her and a distinguished judge pays a visit for lunch.
As part of the Festival of Chichester, come and enjoy these performances by New Theatre Productions, now in its 37th amateur season, in the beautiful backdrop of West Dean Gardens.
The Gardens Restaurant will be open until 7.15pm to enjoy a
pre-theatre meal or drink.
Performances start at 7.45pm.

Tickets can be purchased in advance online or at the gate before the performance (there is no performance on Sunday 3 July).
