The College continues to inspire generations of artists, makers, designers and writers through the legacy of founder, artist and Surrealist patron Edward James.

Open call for Exhibitors and Demonstrators

Join us for the 2019 Arts and Craft Festival and share in our celebration of creativity - a great opportunity to showcase and sell your work.

All applications are welcome, but in particular we'd love to hear from printmakers and textile artists. To take part, please complete the Exhibitors and Demonstrators application form. The application deadline has been extended until Friday 15th March 2019.

Open Call for Start-up Artists, Printmakers and Craftspeople

If you've started your business within the last two years, we'd love to hear from you. Apply to exhibit or demonstrate your work as a start-up artist, and share in the celebration of creativity. It's a great opportunity to showcase and sell your work.

As part of our commitment to support emerging talent, as an early career exhibitor or demonstrator, you will benefit from a 15% discount.

To take part, please complete the Start-up Artists, Printmakers and Craftspeople application form by Friday 15 March. Selection will take place before the end of March 2019.

If you've recently graduated from an arts related degree, apply for the chance to show your engaging and interactive work, through the three day festival and engage with visitors about your practice. Includes a fee to artists of £450.

How to get here

West Dean College is located on the A286 just 6 miles north of Chichester and 60 miles south of London.

By car: Please use postcode PO18 0RX and follow the signs to the event car park, parking is free.

By train: The nearest train station is Chichester, with direct services from London Victoria. Connecting buses (Stagecoach number 60) are available from the bus station next to the train station. Alternatively, there is a taxi rank outside. It is just a 10-15 minute journey from the station.
