The Old Library, West Dean College
A talk by Sussex-based artist Joseph Long exploring the lesser known flower paintings of Piet Mondrian, one of the founders of the Dutch modern movement De Stijl. The talk will question what motivated Mondrian, an artist renowned for the purity of his abstract paintings, to create over 150 flower paintings during his lifetime.
