Caroline Achaintre works across a diverse range of media that includes textiles, ceramics, prints and watercolours, using techniques typically associated with the applied arts. Her visually striking, witty ceramic sculptures and hand-tufted wall hangings incorporate diverse references such as catwalk fashion, carnival, Primitivism and Expressionism.

This talk will focus on Achaintre's forthcoming exhibition Fantômas at the De La Warr Pavilion which will present new ceramic work made whilst Caroline was artist-in-residence at West Dean College.
