    Press Release: West Dean Gardens to remain open to the public

    Following the Government’s latest guidance, award-winning West Dean Gardens, near Chichester in West Sussex has announced that it will remain open to the public during the lockdown that starts on Thursday, November 5, 2020. The Gardens are open seven days a week with their Winter opening hours from 10.30am to 4pm and entry continues to be by timed tickets available to book online, and pre-booking is essential. The Gardens’ Shop and Restaurant will be closed.

    As we ease into Autumn we need to have something to look forward to and inspire us into the Winter months. West Dean College of Arts and Conservation's programme of short courses from October 2019 - March 2020 is now live online, and among the 430 courses on offer are 89 new ones. Trends this season include the Autumn landscape, re-using and extending the life of materials, and courses inspired by the earth during with an Earth Matters week of courses in February.
