Press Release: Mother's Day at West Dean

Treat your Mum to a trip to West Dean and she will be given a return ticket and a bunch of daffodils!

Visit West Dean’s stunning gardens (near Chichester, West Sussex) on Mother's Day (Sunday, March 22, 2020) which will be open between 9am - 5pm, and not only does your Mother have a memorable day with her loved ones, but she will be given a return voucher to the gardens and a bunch of daffodils!

The Gardens Restaurant will be open to enjoy lunch or afternoon tea (breakfast is available from 9am to 11.30am). West Dean’s newly opened tea room in Gardeners Cottage, formerly the residence of the head gardeners, is somewhere to enjoy a pit-stop and refreshments and will be open as well as a Mother’s Day Weekend Vintage Tea Tent (21 – 22 March, 10am - 4pm) serving a selection of cream teas, and a variety of home-made cakes and tray bakes, as well as hot and cold beverages.

  • How about a Spring Pass? Enjoy unlimited entry to the Gardens as they burst into life for Spring for just £20pp, valid for use March 1 to May 31, 2020. Passes purchased online will be issued on your next visit (from 1 March).
  • Give a creative short course experience with gift vouchers of £10, £25, £50 or £100 that can be used as full or part payment for a short course at West Dean College of Arts and Conservation. Courses range from jewellery, ceramics, art, textiles, photography, gardening, wood and metalwork. This is perfect for creative mums and why not join her on a course and spend time learning together.     Free daffodils can be collected from the Gardens Shop, while stocks last. The Shop will also issue the voucher, valid for a return visit up to and including 30 April 2020. Voucher must be presented with the original adult ticket purchase receipt and not against the cost of a child event ticket.
