Describe your approach to teaching.

I teach simple techniques that can be used in different ways to enable students to develop a personal language and the confidence to express their ideas via textiles.

My approach focuses on exploring individual students starting points and motivation, to enable them to get the most out of a course.

What inspires your own work?

I am motivated by the material qualities of ink, paint, fabrics, threads and yarns and how abstracted forms can describe and signify what is on the periphery or the unseen.

I am inspired by a lot of everyday experiences and processing our existence via colour, shape and material.
