Lindsay Taylor
Lindsay produces three dimensional embroidered flora and fauna
from her studio based on the Isle Of Wight. Lindsay exhibits,
nationally and internationally and has exhibited her work at The
Wallace Collection, Sotherby's, Smythson and Osborne House, and in
2011 had a coffee table book of her work published.
What is your approach to teaching?
As a self -developed artist, I encourage my students to work to
their own design brief. Not only do we all learn from the other
students, it is so much more satisfying.
What inspires your own work?
I am lucky to live next to a forest, and this cannot help but
inspire my work. So a familiar weed, turns into an unusual art
object.
