Jane Ponsford: A landscape in ten parts

Jane Ponsford

Jane is an experienced tutor who teaches papermaking workshops in a variety of settings from museums and galleries to schools and in the landscape. Recently she has run workshops for Stroud International Textiles and The British Museum. She is a member of IAPMA and has exhibited nationally and internationally.

Describe your approach to teaching:
I enjoy working with people and teach by demonstration and practical work as well as by giving individual attention to help students develop their own projects with this wonderful material.

What inspires your own work?
I am inspired by material and place. While papermaking processes are central to my work, the starting point is often based on collections of pigments and materials from specific locations.
