West Dean provides courses, talks and mentoring in Creative Development intended to foster professional practice for artists, designers, makers and students. Bursaries may be available.

West Dean College is delighted to offer two 50% bursaries on its new ‘Art School’ for 2015 (7 – 12 April) which offers artists, makers and students the opportunity to be mentored by professionals, and learn the essential skills to thrive as an artist.

The Art School week includes a choice of three 5-day long mentoring courses (contemporary painting with Matthew Collings, sculpture with George Charman, and painting with Christopher Baker) and a 3-day professional practice course How to Survive and Thrive as an Artist with Rosalind Davis and Annabel Tilley from ZAP. Students on all courses will benefit from a series of talks by ZAP, providing advice for artists on articulating your practice and promoting your work. The talks can be booked separately at £15 per ticket.

Students interested in applying for a bursary should complete the bursary application form by March 17th.
