Pat has worked in West Dean Tapestry Studio for nine years, gaining a wide range of experience in interpretative weaving. She has woven images by Henry Moore, John Piper, Maty Grunberg and many others while continuing to produce her own designs. Her most recent commission is for two large format tapestries now displayed in one of largest committee rooms in Portcullis House, the new Parliamentary building in London. The theme for her designs is Democracy, and contains two complementary definitions of democracy, combining text and photographic source material into her final compositions. Pat has been the course leader for the postgraduate diploma in tapestry weaving at West Dean College since 1988, becoming the Director of Tapestry in 2001. She has been an advisor to Winchester College of Art's Textile Art degree course and also a visiting lecturer at the Royal College of Art in London.

Philip has worked in the West Dean Tapestry Studio as a professional tapestry weaver since 1993. Since 1996 he has been weaving many of his own designs to commission. Previous commissions include two tapestries for Portcullis House, a 1.5m x 15m tapestry for the Surrey History Centre in Woking and two tapestries for The Mercers Company, London, collaborative designs in which he worked in partnership with Dr B.M. Watney and the Company Archivist. He also won a competition in 1996 to design a tapestry for the new wing of St. Richard's Hospital, Chichester.

Philip's work has also been included in the Golden Jubilee Celebration Book. A selection of artwork and poetry capturing a rich collection of creativity from the community of Surrey was presented to Her Majesty the Queen on 7th June 2002 at the South of England Show in Ardingly.

Philip has also worked as a visiting lecturer on the BA Constructed Textiles Course at Middlesex University, and has taught on the Introduction to Tapestry Workshops, part of the BA Textile Course at Goldsmiths College, London.
