The vernacular-style Visitor Centre, built of local flint and brick, was opened by the Prince of Wales in 1996. Adjacent to the River Lavant, the Visitor Centre overlooks the beautiful Lavant valley and West Dean Park. It houses a quality licensed restaurant for home-made lunches and afternoon teas. There is a garden shop carrying an imaginative range of gifts and plants for sale.
