Annie Guilfoyle
Annie is an award-winning garden designer and an RHS Chelsea Flower Show Silver Medal winner. After studying horticulture at Capel Manor College, she gained an honors degree in Garden Design at Middlesex University. Based in West Sussex, Annie runs a successful garden design consultancy combined with lecturing and writing on the subject. She has been instrumental in setting up and establishing the full-time garden design course at KLC School of Design where she is the Director of Landscape Design. She is also the Garden Course Consultant at West Dean College.
Her writing work includes two extensive open learning courses published by KLC and articles for Gardens Illustrated, Country Living and The Garden Design Journal. Television work includes being selected by the BBC as a designer for the second and third series of Small Town Gardens. These programmes demonstrate Annies expertise in transforming tiny spaces into contemporary urban sanctuaries. Modern art and architecture are key influences and she works closely with the client to produce a truly tailored design. Most recent TV appearances include a series called The Garden Makers where Annie created a sculpture garden for the Zimmer Stewart Gallery in Arundel, West Sussex.
