David Dorning David Dorning studied for a BA (Hons) at the Open University and worked at the city archives in Coventry and the county archives at Warwick. After joining West Dean, David achieved an MA in Conservation Studies at the University of Sussex. David is a specialist in book and paper conservation and lectures on his research subject, materials science, at West Dean and at other museums and institutions worldwide.
