Photography and Digital Imaging

The West Dean environment continues to be an inspiration for our photography courses and the surrounding area is also visited, in particular the classic coastal areas and the Sussex Downs.

Workshops and equipment

Both the Computer Suite, equipped with eight work stations, and the Darkroom, with six work places, are on the ground floor of the College. Many courses have an additional base either in one of the Art Studios (accessible by stairs or stair-lift) or in an alternative teaching room in the Main House (accessible by stairs or lift in most cases). A local photo-lab is used to develop and print images from digital and film-based cameras for evaluation during some courses.
