Divisions on chansons and madrigals and their original 4–6 part settings will form the basis of this course which is intended for intermediate or advanced recorder players who are willing to prepare a solo diminution prior to the course and are confident sight readers with playing one to a part. Composers will include Willaert, da Rore, Lassus, Crequillon, Clemens non Papa, Selma, Bassano, Cabezon and Dalla Casa. Descant, treble (in F and G), tenor and bass recorders will be used (and there may be possibilities to play great-bass and sub-bass).
