DESCRIBE YOUR APPROACH TO TEACHING
I believe in a hands-on approach to teaching, demonstrating printmaking and drawing methods and allowing students to experiment themselves with materials, techniques, tools and colours.
Printmaking is highly individual and exciting way of work with many possibilities.
WHAT WILL STUDENTS GAIN IF THEY COME ON ONE OF YOUR COURSES?
I am a working illustrator and printmaker and enjoy sharing my knowledge of these. Students can expect to gain confidence while exploring printmaking in a fresh and instinctive way, learning new skills to create their own prints.
ARE THERE ANY PARTICULAR TECHNIQUES/PROCESSES YOU USE IN YOUR TEACHING?
I cover a variety of printmaking methods including relief printing and silkscreen printing. Focusing on drawing and mark making to layer up rich textured images.

Travel, People and places, architecture, cities, exhibitions.

I studied Communication Art and Design (MA) at the Royal College of Art and Visual Communication BA (hons) at Edinburgh College of Art.
WHAT TEACHING EXPERIENCE HAVE YOU HAD?
I have taught short courses and workshops in Printmaking as well as working in Schools with children and teenagers
IS YOUR WORK IN ANY PUBLIC OR PRIVATE COLLECTIONS?
I sell my work through Crail Gallery and other small galleries throughout the UK and several private collections.
