I like to encourage the students to become involved in the enamelling process as quickly as possible.
What will students gain if they come on one of your courses?
The students should acquire an understanding of the basic principles of enamelling and a confidence to explore the medium further.
Are there any particular techniques/processes you use in your teaching?I tend to tailor the course to the needs of particular students. I cover the basic aspects of enamel and metal preparation, and then, in a series of demonstrations, I show the students a variety of different decorative techniques.
What inspires your own work?I love colour and pattern, and I try to incorporate drawing techniques in my enamel work.
Where can students see examples of your work?In many Craft Council Selected Galleries
