What will students gain if they come on one of your courses?They will be able to make a hand made tailored lampshade with full balloon lining, made using traditional techniques. The course explores design, inspirations for shade making, new directions, colour and proportion.
Are there any particular techniques/processes you use in your teaching?I teach each stage by showing and then supporting the students. There are no short cuts to thee processes, they are unique and specific to shade making!
What inspires your own work?Fashion and current interiors trends, and experimenting within the techniques of shade making

Where did you gain your training/experience?City and Guilds part I and II at North East Surrey College of Technology, plus 10 years experience running my own shade making business.
What teaching experience have you had?4 years teaching at Les Tuileries creative courses in Dorking
Is your work in any public or private collections?In lots of private homes, but has been used for exhibitions, theatre, visual merchandising etc..
Have you written any books/had articles published?Featured in Surrey Life magazine, The Guardian newspaper, also shades featured in editorials in House beautiful and the Sunday Times
