I like to teach one to one and using the benefit of my 30 years mosaicing experience advise the course participant according to their individual needs.
What will students gain if they come on one of your courses?I provide an opportunity for those who have previously made some mosaics and therefore have some experience in mosaic making. My course aims to expand on those existing skills and develop your personal style and creativity.
Are there any particular techniques/processes you use in your teaching?My course will instruct further in direct and indirect mosaic techniques, using a variety of materials including glass and ceramic tesserae.
What inspires your own work?I try and capture individual personality and character in my designs of animals. Birds are a particular speciality of mine. My fourth book ‘Mosaic Art’ contains a whole section on my inspiration.
