I regard each student as an individual with their own requirements determined by their different practical experience and talents. The students learn by doing. Hands on from the very beginning. I teach granulation technique and I encourage the students to explore their own design through experiment and discussion.

What will students gain if they come on one of your courses?

Students gain practical knowledge of a simple granulation style which is applicable to their home workshops. I make information available on the history of granulation and alternative techniques. Where necessary I give instruction in general jewellery techniques such as use of the file, wire drawing and domeing block. Also use of the mouth blow torch and charcoal block.
