For every stduent I provide inspiration and a sense of achievement.
Are there any particular techniques/processes you use in your teaching?I use a variety of techniques such as demonstration, illustrated lectures and hands on work. I specialise in Shibori dyeing using Indigo and Fibre Reactive Dyes, machine quilting and a wide range of piecing (patchwork) and related textile techniques.
What inspires your own work?Colour, textures and reflections, particularly those found in flowers, trees and water as well as African and Japanese dyeing techniques and processes

Where did you gain your training?
I am mostly self-taught; however through adult education I gained City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 in Patchwork & Quilting followed by the Diploma in Stitched Textiles (Windsor) in 2001.
Teaching experience:I have taught adults at a variety of levels up to Diploma level for twenty years. I specialise in Patchwork, Quilting, Shibori Dyeing and related textile arts.
Is your work in any public or private collections?Public: The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles, Quilt Museum & Gallery, York. Private: Collections in the UK and overseas.
