DESCRIBE YOUR APPROACH TO TEACHING

My teaching style is very practical and hands-on whilst encouraging all students to meet their highest potential.

I have many techniques which I have learnt over the years of being a professional sculptor which I enjoy teaching .

WHAT INSPIRES YOUR OWN WORK?

I am inspired by the play of form within nature, whilst expressing the self-realising itself in form.

WHERE DID YOU GAIN YOUR TRAINING/EXPERIENCE? (INCLUDE ANY QUALIFICATIONS)

I served a 5 year apprenticeship in wood carving which was my bedrock of training, from here the rest was learnt within the school of hard knocks.

WHAT TEACHING EXPERIENCE HAVE YOU HAD?

I have been teaching since I was 19 I have huge enthusiasm for helping others fulfil their potential. I have worked within Somerset College of Art and many private institutions.

IS YOUR WORK IN ANY PUBLIC OR PRIVATE COLLECTIONS?

My work is in many private collections across the globe, I have sculpted public commissions.

HAVE YOU WRITTEN ANY BOOKS/HAD ARTICLES PUBLISHED?

I have published many articles on the art of sculpting in wood I am currently writing a book to express my sculptures of realisation.
