Encouraged by me, all students work towards their own individual way of working, developing their own ideas into different directions. The working method is free fast and playful, with individual help for each student. Everybody works at their own pace and ability.

What will students gain if they come on one of your courses?

Students gain an enthusiasm for working with wax-resist on paper, because of the many possibilities making a design in a direct, spontaneous way; Working on paper is versatile and encourage experimentation. Its cheap in materials, No papers are wasted, they can be used for many purposes .Its suitable for beginners and more experience students, Its no competition, but looking at each others work is constantly gaining new options. Students always can come again to the same workshop, with more knowledge about the technique, for further development of their work, made in the first course.

Are there any particular techniques/processes you use in your teaching?

We use paraffin wax, dyes and bleach on different qualities of paper, each with specific properties; Collage enhances the tactile quality of the work.. With wax and or dye-printing on paper we make starting points for a new work, etc
