DESCRIBE YOUR APPROACH TO TEACHING

I do my best to suit the needs of each individual student, keeping a steady pace, but giving extra help and attention where needed. I am a very light hearted person so when teaching I try to create a warm and nurturing atmosphere. I have a very hands on approach, giving demonstrations, and guiding students on how to use their hands to achieve the image in their mind's eye

WHAT WILL STUDENTS GAIN IF THEY COME ON ONE OF YOUR COURSES?

The skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to create botanical art as well as a basic understanding of the self contained Eco system and the various approaches to terrarium craft.

ARE THERE ANY PARTICULAR TECHNIQUES/PROCESSES YOU USE IN YOUR TEACHING?

I start students out with a basic project that allows them to understand the principles of terrarium craft. From this foundation I then encourage them to get creative with their ideas and branch out to a more complex and dynamic project.

The finite and intricate detail found in every facet of life, mechanical and botanical.
