Overseas Students
New UK immigration rules state that if you plan to engage in any kind of study while in the UK you should now enter as a student and not as a tourist.
If you are studying in this country for less than six months and are a non-visa national, you may apply for a Student Visitor Visa before arriving in the UK or you may apply for entry clearance as a Student Visitor when you arrive at a UK airport.
There are conditions for both methods, and we strongly recommend that you consult the UK Border Agency website or straight to the Studying in the UK page.
This will give you full details and gives you a list of the documents and evidence that you will need to produce to confirm your student and financial status.
If you need any further guidance, the website for the UK Council for International Student Affairs is a good source of information.
