This section offers such a wide variety of courses that it needs to be studied in detail. On our courses students can create images in textiles, or make accessories and textiles for various domestic uses.

Textile Bursary fund
Textile Bursary Fund Thanks to a very generous donation West Dean can now offer up to 35 weekend Textile Short Course bursaries. These bursaries are available to help undergraduate students who would not otherwise be able to join us.
To apply for a bursary please email alison.baxter@westdean.org.uk with some images of your work and an outline of what you hope to gain by attending a textile short course.
Workshops and equipment
Most textile courses take place either in the Main Workshop on the ground floor, or in one of the upper Art Studios, reached by stairs or a stair-lift. Appropriate equipment is available in these spaces. Visits to our professional tapestry weaving studio can be arranged during your course.
