An important course providing an overview of the complex issues involved in the conservation and repair of stone masonry, including practical exercises using the ruinette; building stone identification and characterisation, recognition and diagnosis of decay, assessment of condition, repair options and techniques, cleaning, surface treatments and specification.

A mix of lectures, demonstrations, case studies and practical exercises.
